We own a dispensary now, but before that we were customers… for a long time. We never take that experience for granted. It informs how we operate now, and helps to influence how we communicate. Our customers come from locals throughout Los Angeles, Burbank, Glendale, and the San Fernando Valley as well as visitors who are experiencing LA for the first time.

We know how to shop and, most importantly, where to shop for cannabis in Los Angeles. For many of us, it can be overwhelming to walk into a shop with shelves lined with so many varieties of flower, vapes, edibles etc. The places that can dazzle you with inventory, but at the same time narrow your point of view to what is specific and special to you, those are the places that do the best.

At Hi Neighbor in North Hollywood, we built our shop around that idea. We’ve been to dispensaries all over the United States, from Denver, to Portland, to Boston, and the one thing that has always stuck with us from our visits, was that our best experiences before, during, and after were in the places where we connected with the people who connected us with the plant. 

The people who listened to what we were looking for, had an idea of what could meet our expectations and spoke to us about the plant from a shared perspective. We focus on helping people find products that fit the experience they’re looking for—whether that’s relaxation after a long day of sightseeing, something social for a night out, or simply discovering California cannabis for the first time.

Throughout the year, we host events, support local artists, partner with neighborhood businesses, and create opportunities for people to connect with the community around us. Because we believe cannabis is about more than a transaction. It’s about the experience.
